Post #1: The Winning Ticket

On my way up north this weekend, I came across a bulletin board for the Mega Millions and the Power ball. It has made me think about why I should go buy a ticket or two. The numbers are a reason. Just thinking about having that much in your hands or account is crazy! Imagining what I will use it on or for gives me the excitement for winning, even though the chances of winning are very low. Another reason is from the words on the board: What’s your dream? These words have made me think of my dreams and I believe that if I were to win the Power ball or Mega Millions, I would have that opportunity to access my dream faster. In the end I didn’t purchase a ticket, but theĀ  subjects of the Mega Millions and the Power ball will come up in the future.

The advertising on this board has worked in many different ways for me and others. Even though I didn’t purchase a ticket in the end, I’m sure it has persuaded others. Their reason may just be that they feel lucky that day. Who knows? Therefore, advertising is the promotion of information about a product or products thatĀ  aim for the wants and needs of the target market.
